SmarTrax™ MD, OmniRow® Multi-Hybrid Planter Control System, and the Viper® 4 Field Computer have been honored with AE50 Awards for innovations that improve agriculture production. The awards were presented at the ASABE Agricultural Equipment Technology Conference (AETC) in Louisville, Kentucky, on Tuesday, February 11, 2014.
The American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) AE50 Awards highlight the year’s most innovative product-engineering designs in the areas of agricultural, food, and biological systems. An expert panel of engineers selects approximately 50 products for recognition and rank those selected in highest in innovation, significant engineering advancement, and impact on the market served. The AE50 guidelines require submitted products to embody the application of new technology or the innovative application of an older technology, and must be new to the whole industry, not just to an individual company. In addition, for the 2014 awards the development must have been first offered for sale between January 1-December 31, 2013.
In addition, Raven partnered with Unverferth Mfg. Co. to develop the UHarvest data management solution which also received an award. It is an ISOBUS-compatible system that can work with existing virtual terminals or tablet devices that provide a touch-screen interface to display and manage grain cart and harvest data.
