Inside Raven

Meet a #RavIntern: Grace Harden and Addison Jensen of the Marketing Department

Meet the Interns

Grace Harden, Raven’s Marketing Coordinator Intern, is from Humboldt, South Dakota and is a sophomore at South Dakota State University dual majoring in Agriculture Communications and Public Relations with a minor in Ag Business. Grace grew up around farming, including an involvement with The National FFA Organization in high school, and always knew she wanted to be a part of evolution of agriculture.

Addison Jensen, Raven’s Creative Copywriting Intern, grew up in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and is a senior-turning-grad-student at the University of South Dakota majoring in English with a minor in Organization Communication. Addison was led to English and Communication through interests in textual analysis and human connection, and a lifelong disinterest in math.

The intern program is obviously a priority of Raven’s. The hosted events and learning sessions help interns across departments get to know each other and learn things that will be helpful in any future career.

Summer at Raven

Combined over the course of their summer with Raven’s marketing team, the two have worked on:

• Product catalogues

• The Raven website’s Dealer Locator

• Website additions and revisions

• Posters

• Internal communications

• Monthly newsletters

• Visitor guides

• Assent management

• Advertisements

Addison also runs the social media accounts and writes the intern features.

The two wanted to work somewhere with a far-reaching impact that prioritized team member values and knew of Raven from its history of community involvement and stellar reputation. They both hope to develop real-world office skills and test the practical uses of their degrees. Grace remarked that writing newsletters for customers and dealers has been an amazing look into the business and all the different ways Raven makes customers their priority.

I’ve learned about things I didn’t anticipate, such as graphic design – I like that more than I thought I would. I appreciate the way Raven helps their interns do more and more as they learn. Team members want you to succeed.
