Senior Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis Jared Stearns is delivering key results for PTG across CNH and Raven.
Senior Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis Jared Stearns has been with Raven for five years, and during that time, he has learned how to take on new challenges so he can drive the organization forward.
Jared oversees key financial areas for the Raven business, with an emphasis on forecasting and budgeting. As part of his role, Jared does analyses of pricing, costs, and gross margin, and he oversees the monthly financial reporting and Raven’s business intelligence dashboards. Jared moved into his current role two years ago when Raven was acquired by CNH.
After the acquisition, Jared became the financial liaison between CNH’s Precision Technology Group (PTG) and Raven. This was a new role that was created to manage the financials of both groups, and Jared took on the challenge.
Director of Finance and Accounting Jacob Wurth said that as the liaison, Jared plays a key role connecting the dots between different regions across CNH. Since taking on this role, Jared has gotten to know team members in PTG and their ways of working, then brought those learnings back into Raven to create a united method for financial tracking across the groups.
Jared’s team enhanced an existing process for forecasting precision technology revenue across CNH factories. This involved building out reporting for the tech in every region and across brands, then working with PTG colleagues to determine expected take rates for each platform. Once Jared established an understanding of these processes, he brought them back to his team and taught them how to model the methods. This brings the team together so they can make it simple for PTG across CNH and Raven.
For Jared, this new development is a result of the years of learning and growth he has experienced as part of Raven. He has worked in a variety of roles since he started, and he said that he has learned new things in each position that have allowed him to continue growing.
Taking on a role within PTG and building on his Raven responsibilities has given Jared opportunities to work with team members as one team to drive results for the organization. This new experience has allowed him to grow alongside his responsibilities.
